Back from the place I love
Back from my travels to Islay, now getting more difficult to leave as I have someone special there, now not only do I have to leave a place that makes me feel like I totally belong, but leave someone behind.
This cross which stands on the north of the Island is battered by the elements, the carvings that were once so intricate are now fading, soon never to be seen, I hope that the Islanders have kept records so that their children will see the beauty, and take the time to appreciate it.

Conception Moon
part of a project, for Yoke and Zoom, the box it fits into is a condom box .
The instructions are for conception rather than contraception, using the moon as a guide
to ovulation, looking at the moon when your are menstuating, and then count
on three images then have intercourse when the moon looks like that, this is half way through your cycle, which approximately when you ovulate.
This is not guaranteed !
just a bit of art....
enjoy

Its almost like summer is over
I am very lucky and sometimes I forget this, where I live is surrounded by fields, and some of them look ready to harvest already, the weeks of sunshine have changed them into a beautiful field of gold, and I love it when the wind blows and it appears to flow like water or like fabric in a breeze.
out with Faye
Went to visit my friend Faye this week and took a wander around her local church, which is a beauty, I loved the way the sun shone through the stained glass window and touched the font.
These graves are in a part of the churchyard that is protected for its wildlife, we saw some beautiful butterflies, which didnt want their photo taking !
and a wonderful window .
Pictures taken at Hansacre Church Staffs.

Summer thoughts
my summer starts with the most wonderful sunsets, it will be a long summer this year but I have thoughts and people who make me smile to keep me going. A lot has changed since this time last year, I had just finished foundation art and things havent stopped from then, I have found my spiritual home, Islay is where I should be, and will be one day, my children are starting their own new paths in their lives, my eldest is preparing for university, my middle child is at college herself, and my son is listening to jazz music,
Times change, which thankfully at the moment is for the best.
